Description
2pp. from McCall's Magazine, November 1911. Story is titled "The Fairy Godmother Sends Cinderella to the Ball With Snow White and the Prince: A Fairy Play" and written by Carolyn Sherwin Bailey. The first half of the story combines aspects of the Cinderella and Snow White fairy tales, then transitions as the narrator addresses the reader directly and spends the second half of the piece talking about how to play with the Cinderella paper doll on the opposite page. On that page is a 6" Cinderella doll, accompanied by her pumpkin carriage, the mice pulling the carriage, and a glass slipper. Illustrations are done by John B Gruelle, and have been printed in black and white, with a few orange accents. 11 1/4" x 8".
