    Description

I have for sale a Fulltone SSTE Tape Echo with the optional Footswitch and 3 extra tapes.  This unit has lived its entire life in my smoke-free studio and is in great shape and functions as it should.  There is magic to be found in these units.  Please note there are two cosmetic flaws, as follows:  (1) There is a small chip in the lid for the unit, which you can see in the main photo where the lid is open--this has no effect on the function of the unit; (2) the word "footswitch" on the footswitch is partially gone--again, this has no effect on the unit's function.  The unit ships with the power cord and 4 tapes, including the tape currently in the machine, which has less than 3 hours use.  Of the remaining 3 tapes, 2 are used but still in good shape, and one is unused.  Please feel free to email me with any questions--best of luck!
    From Fulltone:
The Fulltone CS-SSTE Custom Shop Solid State Tape Echo Effect Pedal pairs unbelievable real-tape tones with all of the performance and quality you've come to expect from Fulltone. Available in limited quantities and utilizing a real specially-designed Fulltone ETC-2 Tape Cartridge with 1/4 tape for fat sounding delay, the CS-SSTE offers two preamp modes, each with independent Vol and Echo controls: EP-3 mode and Full mode. With that sought-after slight bass cut and treble boost, EP-3 mode is an exact replica of the JFET circuit found in the first version of the world-famous echo unit favored by countless guitar legends. If you're not into that EP-3 color, Full model is a rich, true-sounding echo effect. Although the Solid State Tape Echo is capable of serving up those delectable vintage tones, it's crafted with elimate that notorious hum of those original echo units. What's more? It's also 1/3 the size of the original units! Ideal for the discerning gigging musician, the CS-SSTE is crafted by hand and is incredibly roadworthy.Other features include:A true-bypass toggle switch for superb tonal qualities and performance even when the effect is offOptimal 1.1 mega ohm Input impedance and super-low 10K output impedance... SSTE has none of the issues that original units have driving long cables and is not affected by devices coming before or after, either. The original units have a 200K-350K output impedance and no output buffer, which causes interaction issues!Tape speeds with a moveable Playback head to achieve everything from super-quick Plate Reverb emulations, to Rockabilly slapbacks, to a full 1 second delays. Manipulating a moveable playback head is the only way to achieve the Jimmy Page-like self-oscillating trick using a tape echo
