These mods will make your Line 6 DL4, MM4, DM4, or FM4 one of the coolest pedals out there!
Double Presets Mod:
We install an extra switch and LED on the upper left. This gives you
double the amount of presets!
You can save two pre-selected presets on each switch for any of the effects found on any one channel of your selector. Here is one way I like to use mine:
On switch A for example, I like to save my first preset as a very slow digital delay. I save my second preset as a very fast digital delay. This lets me use my expression pedal knob (see next mod) to scroll anywhere from a slow delay to a fast delay, or anywhere in between.
Expression Pedal Mod:
We install an extra switch and Led on the upper right for the
expression pedal/knob
which we also install on your
pedal on the lower right side. You won't need to find extra space for an expression pedal, this one is built in! You can use your foot to scroll from one extreme to the next, or anywhere in between. So you don't have to stop playing and reach down to turn knobs...you can change it on the fly. How cool is that?
We can also mount the expression pedal/knob on the left side of the pedal if you are...left footed :)
Volume Drop Mod:
Many musicians who use Line 6 pedals have mentioned there seems to be a slight drop in volume when switching from the clean signal to the delay effects. This mod was developed by Jeorge Tripps. The secret is knowing which two SMT resistors are responsible for the wet volume. We swap those out for resistors with different values to ensure
the effects volume is equal to
the regular bypass sound.
LED Upgrade:
We replace those dull red LEDs. The lenses are clear when they are switched off. When switched on, they are all bright blue. Let us know if you prefer different colors.
*Switch Upgrade:
This is an optional mod.
We are offering this mod at a special low price to folks who get the Ultimate Expression mod service. For an extra .99 you can get a total switch upgrade (normally .99). Just call or email if you would like this one.
The stock switches on these pedals are put together in pieces. You can see that the one on the left has a spring that bumps up against a memory switch. Lots of musicians report having trouble sooner or later with these switches. You just don’t need to be playing live and lose your effect, or have to step on the switches an extra time or two.
We remove those cheap spring loaded suckers, and install hard wired
heavy duty Momentary SPST “Soft Touch” switches.
These are nice! They are super quiet, no malfunctions, and built to last.
*Note:
Use your Line 6 power source!
On the back of Line 6 pedals near the power jack, it states this pedal needs a minimum of 1200mA. Some folks are using other methods with less than recommended power for this pedal.
There are two good reasons for using the Line 6 adapter:
1) The mods will not work properly unless you have a minimum of 1200mA.
2) The best reason for using the Line 6 adapter is this adapter filters the current, This will help to eliminate background noise, and extend the life of the pedal
Be sure to let us know if you want the
switch upgrade.
Simply purchase the mod service, and then here is a
3 point check list:

2) Please include your return address, and any special information about your mod, on a piece of paper
