    Description

Nectar Hive Electrostatic Headphone Pro Bias (Alternative to Stax). Condition is "New". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail to continental US.
This is an Electrostatic Heapdhone under my brand Nectar Sound Research. This is a NEW headphone I built recently. My headphones have been used and reviewed by many and they are excellent sounding headphones and I have had a few customers prefer them to the SR009. Please check out NECTARSOUND DOT NET for reviews and loads of information about the headphones They work with Stax 5pin Pro-Bias amplifiers.
The F-response (uncompensated) of the headphones (L and R measurement) is included in the images for this set measured with the DSP EARS. Measurement is taken without any clamping of the ear cups against the EARS, typically clamping them will flatten / extend the bass. Otherwise my headphones are known for bass extension, precise imaging, and sound stage.
The only quirk of my headphones (based on a deliberate design/sound tradeoff) is what is known as the "sticking phenomenon" which is where the diaphragm can get stuck to the stator if abrupt pressure is applied to them (such as smushing the headphones against your head) while electrically biased. To unstick them just unplug and touch the pins together of the headphones and you can hear it unstick as the diaphragm discharges. This doesn't happen while listening. Once you understand it, and learn how to avoid it, it's not really an issue. More details are in my FAQ section of NECTARSOUND DOT NET.
This is a mature product that uses gold plated drivers, internal and external dust covers. The external dust cover can be removed as shown in the pictures if treated with care. Otherwise like most all estats these are very open headphones.  Please let me know if you have any questions and check out more information at NECTARSOUND DOT NET.
