    Description

Up for sale is a very rare Peter Gray brass ship or harbor light...Has 1" thick red fresnel glass, measures 33" high, and 13" wide...Very large and heavy...Has two panels that open up to expose the two lights...Not sure of its exact application, or where it came from...Was told by previous owner its from a side wheel steam ship, but I havent verified that...
Has the 2 lights inside that use 110v which could have been switched out at some time from 12v...Or possibly kerosene...And the light bulb fixtures, and brackets look old, and NOT retrofitted...The top cap unscrews from eye bolt and looks to have vent holes not seen in pics...
Does have some flaws obviously, mainly on the glass edges, just some minor chips...Other then that no major issues or repairs...
This thing is about 82lbs, and super heavy duty...I did clean it up to expose the brass from heavy orange paint...Has 360 degree aspect, with two brackets for two bolts for attaching placement...
I did a fair amount of research and there isnt much info, or similar lanterns I have seen online...Really amazing original piece...AND I have another one with clear glass for sale if interested...Item was acquired and is located in Saugatuck/Douglas in western Michigan...Local pickup is preferred, but can possibly pack up and drop off at locations in Holland MI for extra 70 fee for time and materials...Excluding shipping cost...Please see pics...Thanks
