Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Primers provide a sound base for application of Stops Rust enamels on heavily rusted steel. Primers provide twice the rust prevention than using enamels alone, the use of primers promotes topcoat adhesion and helps prevent chipping, cracking and peeling. Use of Stops Rust primers eliminates the need for multiple coats of enamel finish.
Provides a sound base coat for a smooth finish, prevents topcoats from soaking into the primed surface
Ideal on interior/exterior use on bare or lightly rusted surfaces
Alkyd formula that provides superior rust prevention, which provides lasting protection and beauty for projects
Dries to the touch in 10 minutes can be recoated within 15-30 minutes
Fast-drying formula is wet sandable
Topcoats should be tested in an inconspicuous area before beginning
Coverage approximately up to 15 sq. ft. depending on surface porosity
