Mike Petrello was one of the most active and prolific concert photographers on the music scene in Cleveland, Ohio from 1974-1983. During this period, he photographed over 100 bands and compiled a catalog of over 15,000 color concert photos. His collection includes over 50 current Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.
Mike captured the essence of Rock and Roll with his photographs while creating his own style as a concert photographer. He also photographed dozens of artists during in-store promotional appearances at these record venues.
During these active years, his photographs were published in numerous books and magazines. Hard Rock Cafe has purchased a quantity of his photos which are displayed in their locations worldwide. He was a regular contributor to Rockline magazine as well as a house photographer for the Richfield Coliseum, Cleveland's largest indoor concert venue.  With the passage of time came the realization that Mike's archive is likely the largest collection of high-quality color concert photos shot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame city during this timeframe, a timeframe where the greatest Rock and Roll artists were IN THEIR PRIME!  This period has been called the Golden Age of Rock and Roll. Mike has documented this great era with his iconic images. His passion for music and love of these legendary bands shines through in his photographs.
